Position Overview:
St. Louis Title is seeking an experienced Escrow Coordinator to join their dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to achieve success by providing superior service and quality. As an Escrow Coordinator, you would be part of a team responsible for processing files, correspondence, and document preparation for real estate transactions. Building strong client relationships is crucial, as you'll need to clear escrow requirements and ensure all title issues are resolved for smooth transactions. You will need to collaborate with various stakeholders such as lenders, buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and attorneys to ensure everything runs seamlessly and on time.

Location:
  • This a full-time on-site position at our Clayton, MO location.
  • Ability to attend to conferences and events, which may require travel to St. Louis area.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • The coordinator determines escrow requirements by reviewing and clarifying buyer, seller, and lender instructions. Obtains clear title by ordering title reports, resolving title defects, satisfying existing liens and encumbrances against property or principals.
  • Coordinates title operations with other departments (e.g., customer service, searching, examining, and accounting);
  • Communicates with clients in the opening and closing of title files.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Adheres to company policies and guidelines.
  • Other job responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: 
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Missouri Department of Insurance license or ability to meet the requirements for Missouri Department of Insurance licensing is required.
  • Must have basic computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must meet ongoing Continuing Education requirements.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers. 

Preferred Experience:
  • Requires ability to work independently and or within a team structure. 
  • Must have the ability to recognize the need to escalate matters when necessary. 
  • Positive, clear communication skills and strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to adapt quickly. 
  • Prior knowledge of SoftPro software, a plus.
  • Prior knowledge and experience with real estate transaction processing, closings, and title industry is helpful but not required.
  • Applicants with portable book of business will be given preference for position.

COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:
This position has the potential to earn compensation in the range of $55,000 - $62,000 based on location and job-related factors such as skillset and experience. Actual rate may vary within the range provided, depending on a number of factors, including skillset, experience and location.
